Ken founded Valutron in 1983 and has been appraising residential and commercial properties for the past forty-five years.  He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of New York and has served as the only past president of the Greater New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute prior to the merger of organizations.

During his tenure, he was involved in the merger of the two leading appraisal industry groups, the Columbia Society of Real Estate Appraisers and the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers.  This resulted in the creation of the organization today known as, The Appraisal Institute.  He also assisted with the coordination of the NY State Licensing Laws for real estate appraisers, which went into effect in 1991.

Ken has obtained the SRA designation from The Appraisal Institute and the CSA-G designation from the Columbia Society of Real Estate Appraisers.  Additionally, he holds memberships with the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island and Westchester, as well as L.I.R.E.G..

Since forming Valutron, Ken has trained hundreds of appraisers, performed and or reviewed thousands of appraisal reports, and collaborated on multiple property assignments for high-net-worth individuals.  Ken has an intimate relationship with Valutron’s private banking clients, Attorneys and Certified Public Accountants.  They often consult with Ken regarding the analysis of appraisals conducted by other firms for his expert opinion.

Ken is an avid New York sports fan.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, swimming, dining out with his wife and playing with his grandson.
